Barge MEANDHER sold by H2o.
Someone has told porkpies about the condition of this barge resulting in someone having a large repair bill. Details are filtering through and will be published when the they are verified but you can find out now by contacting H2o. Make sure you have a pinch of salt to take with their reply.

Max Gerard from H2O looks at this site quite a lot but does not have the courage to address the lies of his sales person Amandine Campion.
Her offer to get me to sign a sales contract with them was on the basis that the mooring fees would come off the sale which she said would be within 3 months. This request was witnessed by myself and two friends and Joslyne Gerhard, the sister of Max. Is it a family cover up?
There is no point in putting on more stories about them as it seems everyone is aware of how they operate.

I saw on another of your posts Amandine Campion mentioned. To my dismay I believed her on the quality of a barge and paid a deposit depending on a survey. What a fiasco, the barge didn't pass and what  a time and hassle to get my deposit back while half a world away. H2O have an excuse for everything. Never again will I use them as a broker.

Like a moth to a flame your strobe lights attract my attention each time I walk down the pontoon. At first I thought it was Morse code but my old eyes were not fast enough. Sadly I cant put my name on this as I don't want young Max to get cross with me and sling me off as well. Their monopoly in the port is clearly shown. Two things I want to remark on are that the keys are given out willy nilly for people to inspect boats on their own and how often are reports of theft brushed aside. Years ago a boat owner returned unannounced back to France and on climbing on board found a senior (well the most) unscrewing their radios. Another after buying a cruiser in the yard found that when it was delivered to the pontoon there was no gas bottle. What can you say. Pay up and shut up.

Sorry to read your story but with you having spent time on the water, I would have thought that you would have heard all about the "goings on" at H2O delivered stay miles away from them, they are not worth the frustration of a very poorly run service and business especially when you are told by "clever Dick" Phillip that I'm a liar after the crappy winter and spring service at Port Royal. In fact, all you can do is spread the word, join those that already know....STAY AWAY FROM H2O......THEY ARE WROTTEN AND NOT WORTH DEALING WITH

Its about time someone knocks them down a peg or two. They have got away with their Dick Turpin attitude for too long. Unfortunately the French mag 'Fluvial' is heavily subsidized by H2O adverts to print against them.

H2O is a "trick or NO TREAT" institution

So sorry you ve had so much trouble with those bastards............I won t go near StJdeL again.....they re.all thieves...........so much cheaper to get good work done down here in the South. You re not planning on spending the winter on the river are you? Can you go to St Usage?

Seen on a floating bollard in a lock on the Rhone     H2O ARE THIEVES

They are all crooks there Bryan....i can write a book on the horror stories i have heard and experienced their cheating ways first hand.....

Brian, I drove past the port and saw your sign to your web site. It has been a long time coming for some one to expose them. Good luck. I will spread the word. James T

I would like to put in my 2 bobs worth. I had my cruiser stored with them undercover. Just before spring I had an email from Philippe from the workshop. He said there were three small scratches on the paintwork and should he repair them. I wasn't used to having work done by them and I agreed. It was GREED. When I got the bill when I collected my boat they had charged me for 4 litres of paint for each colour. I challenged them and in his haughty manner Philippe reduced it down to 1 litre of each colour. I am now round the corner with Blanquarts and very happy. Biggest is not always best.
Goodmorning Bryan,

What are you for nationality ?

What I really not understand is why H2O get all English speakers (Australien, English, Canada etc ?) Where in the hell they Catch them ? Witch site ? I put a boat -really cheap on "ApolloDuck", no any resultat. (but it already sell in french)

How work H20 ?

** They promise you a high price and quick sale. But you have to but your boat in St. Jean (and they don't come look where you are).

** So after a trip of 3 weeks you come in the port….than they look and say : Not bat bud some bad points…. so lower price.

** They send you (or tell you by phone) all the problems of your boat (they really exaggerate a lot) - after you lost all the hope….you shut down and down the price……..

** And one dat they sell - you pay a lot of port duty- they take the full commission.

After begin digging money point 2 : They try to sell the maximum of there services to refit the boat ad seller and buyer.

But it is a good concept, it works.

I,m amazing about, people want absolute to buy there, it works. A lot of people in French are dreamers with boats.

I,m much cheaper and more convivial. It works also but with another sort of public.
