While waiting on pontoon A to be sold I met two other barge owners who had bought their cruisers from H2O.
We became friends and every morning at 10 am they and others would come to Fidutia for coffee and of course the conversation was about boats and H2O.
Poor John had bought his cruiser from them in 2017 and while cruising in the summer he found the water tanks were leaking. (not disclosed to him)
He asked them that while they had his cruiser under cover for the winter could they fix the problem. When he arrived in the summer of 2018 to go cruising they had not done the repairs and he had to check into a hotel. He could not live on the boat as they has to strip some of the interior to get at the tanks.
Every day he would come for coffee and every day when we asked when would he get his boat we got the same reply,'The workshop manager said in a couple of days'.
A month or so after coming half way across the world to go cruising he gave up in disgust and told the workshop manager to put everything back so he could at least stay on board in the marina even though he couldn't go cruising. He is hopeful that this expensive bad organization of the H2O workshop manager will be rectified and that next years planned cruising will be able to take place.
There are many stories about this workshop, charging for work they haven't done and doing work they weren't asked to do.
I was caught out when I asked some of their men to help me remove a fridge from my barge. I paid the men for their lunchtime work and I got the impression they wanted it for their tea room. I later got a bill for €90 from the workshop. They must have a wounded bull over there.
